Undoing

Gotta love Daddy's. Zach is trying to undo the fear that I have began to instill in the girls concerning spiders, bees and pretty much any creepy crawlers. Never in a million years would I be holding a spider but Daddy really does not want three more scardy cats around the house. Apparently I am enough! So here is Daddy holding a spider and my girls looking on with glee. Maile even touched it and thought it was hilarious when it moved. I just wanted to throw up but for them I pretend otherwise.

Grandpa Stops By

The other night I had my niece and nephew over and Grandpa was able to come visit. I am so glad they love their Grandpa so much!!!

Gifted and Talented

Zachary had taken the GATE test once before and missed it by two points. He was pretty bummed and when given a second chance he got serious and scored really high. We are very proud of all the hard work he puts into his school work. We never have to tell him to do his homework and he has gotten straight A's so far. Keep it up Zachary!!

Quote of the Week

Gotta love the things that come out of their mouths......

Maile told me "Your a genius mama!"

Sew Excited!

So my mom is in nursing school and still working her full time job which does not leave her much time for sewing..... the nice, sweet, and caring daughter in me volunteered to babysit her sewing machine for the next few years! I cannot wait to learn how to make adorable little creations....thank you mom!!

Preschool

Maile has started a little preschool program and so far so good! She it excited on the way, a little hesitant walking through the door and comes home so happy and just a tiny bit smarter! Yesterday she had her second class and she learned about health and nutrition and she retained quite a bit of info! She was telling Daddy that food makes you healthy and was so proud of her food pyramid she made. I am really excited about every aspect concerning her few hours a week at preschool!!

John

My good childhood friend passed away 3 years ago and yesterday we visited the tree his family planted for him at Sunset Park. It was just a really nice day at the park remembering John.

Valentines Play Day

This past Friday we had our playgroup Valentine party and it was lots of fun! The girls got to frost cookies, make goodie bags, pass out Valentines, eat lunch and run around like wild little children suffering from sugar overloads. We really had a good time, and even had a good laugh when Maile just happened to trip and land in Shea's artichoke dip. Over all a great day full of candy and fun!

Quote of the Week

I need to start writing down the hilarious stuff my kids say. Sometimes you might just have to be there to really appreciate how it came out, but I am going to post them anyways.

So this was around 4am as our cute little Becca comes into our room and begins to squish herself between Zach and I. Really all we did was make room for her and in the most nonchalant voice she tells us...

"thanks guys"

Guys??? What are we her buddies...what ever happened to being Mommy and Daddy? None the less it was stinking adorable and a moment we will now never forget!

Ice Cream Tour

I finally found these pictures on a memory card and am glad I can post about our very interesting trip to Anderson Dairy here in Vegas. Highlights of the trip included a fun Van ride with our buddies, a great turnout for our playgroup and the big bowl of Ice Cream you got at the end. The not so highlighty stuff would be the strange walk you into a tight corner just to turn you around part, the freezer part of the tour which included our second dead end, and the lovely tour guide who kept talking into a large mircophone which we all knew was not even on! Over all it was interesting to find out how Anderson Dairy came about but as usual the most fun part about playgroup is both the girls and I get to spend some quality time with our friends!

Proof is in the Pudding

So I had my first shopping trip using my new Grocery Smarts and I saved an amazing 52% on my bill!! It was pretty rewarding seeing the number go from $97 all the way down to $43. Normally I wouldn't buy 7 boxes of cereal at one time but for $1.12 a piece why not and now I don't have to buy cereal for at least a couple months! Don't forget I am having a class at my house on March 11th. But if you want to start saving now just let me know and I will show you what to do!! It is all free too and I am not even a consultant, I am just a mom who is really excited to see such big savings!!

Oh So Smart Now

So pretty much I am one of the cheapest people alive. This is mostly out of necessity, it is not easy trying to feed and clothe 6 people on one income so I only shop clearance and I hate paying full price for anything. I always use the store ads and price match at walmart when I go grocery shopping. I thought I was saving money this way, and I was. But now after attending a grocery smarts class I realized just how much more I could have been saving!! I am really excited about this so much so that I am going to be hosting a class at my house on Wed. March 11 and anyone who reads my blog is invited. I want all my family and friends to be saving tons of money on their grocery bills!! If you want more info just let me know and don't forget to mark the calander!!!
