Park City

Last week was finals week for me so my Mom had the great idea to take the kids up to my Aunt Lezlie and Uncle Kevin's house in Park City so that I could have a stress free week and so that the kids could have a fun end to their summer.  I met them up there as soon as I was done with my finals.

Thursday I was finally able to drive up to meet the girls.  The ride up was so nice all by myself.  Lots of time to reflect and to think about everything except school.  That was a great feeling!  Caught the sunrise right as I was driving out of the gorge.  It was stunning.
First thing we did when I arrived was go to the Olympic Park where they have alpine slides, a ropes climbing course and zip lines. It was so much fun. The weather was perfect and the views were amazing.  I was in clean mountain air heaven.

Two of my favorite ladies.  My Mom and my Aunt Lezlie.  I learn so much from them and I appreciate all the love they show my girls.

Doing this rope course was an eye opener for me. I know my girls are getting older but sometimes I just don't get how old, brave, amazing and strong they really are. I was scared. They were scared but they just tore through this course with determination.  I have never felt more proud of my girls.

Ski lift no big deal apparently.  Except for me.  I have a thing with heights.
 The Alpine slide is fun!!!!!
This is when Alexis was like..."I want to go on the big zip line" and off she went. Maile decided last minute she wanted to go too so she jumped on two chairs behind.  They went up the lift and down the zip line about three times.

Day two I was there we went on a little hike at one of the ski resorts.  More beauty to take in more fresh air.  I could have stayed forever.

Scooter riding in my Aunts neighborhood
The sky was filled with clouds the whole time we were there.
Cousin Alex is super fun to get piggy back rides on.
In the community that my Aunt and Uncle are building their house there is a recreation spot called the "Shed" my girls got to go twice. The last night we stayed we all went out and had a great night bowling, eating and playing games. So much fun!
I love how my younger cousins hung with my girls.  It was fun to watch them get along so great!

What a neat trip for my girls. I wish our whole family could have been there the whole time but it was such a fun trip regardless. As we drove away from Park City Alexis said she was so sad she felt like crying. Little did she know I was feeling the same way.  Although I know it was time to get back to real life it was just so peaceful and beautiful there.  I can't wait to go back and neither can my girls. Next up, Salt Lake City.  Stay tuned....

Random Summer Moments

We had some lovely rainy days toward the end of the summer, with the rain came awesome clouds. I Love when sun rays shine through the clouds.
Family dinner out, realized Daddy and Natalie have the same mad eyebrows.
This girl had a birthday and I didn't get a single picture.  School has ruined me!  This is a few days after her birthday when she got her boots from Grandma.  She sure can rock those boots!
This guy planned a date for us!
 Rainy day fun.
My awesome clinical group.  We had a great instructor and a great group, this was our last day of clinical  celebratory lunch.
Skills lab relay race day. This is my team "Public Enema".  We won of course ;)
My entire skills lab group which makes up half of our nursing class.
Evening walk/ride with the girls.  Another pretty Vegas sunset.
This girl.  Too much, can't believe she is going to be 4.
Another tube surgery.  Rebecca is a pro now, no fear this time.

America's Birthday

One of the best days of the year.  BC parade in the morning, lunch with family, dinner and fireworks with family and friends in BC.  Only thing missing was Daddy and Zachary.  Zachary was with his Mom Zach had to work this year and that sure stunk. Good thing he stopped and got a bunch a fireworks on the way home from work so we got to come home and do some with him at the end of the night.  Nothing like sparklers at midnight.  The weather was so pretty all day, the sunset was stunning and the rain and lightning added to the fun of the fireworks. A great day it was!
