Daddy Time

The kids and I go swimming all the time in the summer.  Daddy is always working and always misses out of the fun so when he can make it the kids are pretty darn excited!  I am pretty stoked too, it gives me a second pair of eyes and they don't beg me to get in and play, I can just be on the side where I like it best!

Love Zach's summer buzz, kinda hot if ya ask me!

The girls are getting swim lessons this summer, I have slacked with them so hopefully the water wings will be gone by the end of the summer!

Rebecca still shouldn't get water in her ears, so she stole Natalie's boat. Her skinny butt is a perfect fit!

Big brothers at the pool are an added bonus!

School Carnival

The girls school had their annual end of year carnival a few weeks ago, it was a Hawaiian themed carnival so my girls fit right in!

Two seconds after this picture I was cleaning up that smoothie off the ground.

Can't believe Kindergarten is almost over for them!

Surgery in the morning, carnival in the afternoon.  Pretty productive day!

More Tubes

We have noticed for some time now that it seemed as if Rebecca couldn't always hear when we were talking to her and she always wanted the TV volume blasting. Not only was she having trouble hearing but she was also suffering from chronic ear infections.  With all that was going on with her I finally asked her ped for a referral to the ENT.  Our appointment was a Thursday afternoon and Dr. Ng was shocked at how bad her ears were.  Literally one of her eardrums was "deflated" and laying against a bone in her ear canal and the other ear had an extreme amount of fluid on it.  He scheduled her surgery for the very next day.  Dr. Ng warned us that if it wasn't taken care of she could loose hearing in the ear that was worse.  Yikes!  Not to mention he said her hard of hearing was probably because all the fluid on her ears, the fluid would make it seem like she was underwater.  Poor baby, I wish I knew sooner!  Anyhow, Friday morning tubes went in, eardrum was inflated and Rebecca claims she is hearing better.  I am looking forward to her post opp appointment to make sure everything is going well. She was a trooper and only wanted Daddy!

This was from her first surgery for her cleft palate and ear tubes...two things haven't changed, her love for Daddy...

and her love for her Doggies!

My Beautiful Friend

This is my stunning friend Molly and her two adorable blue eyed boys.  I took this little mini photo shoot to fulfill my final project for a beginner photography class at CSN.  I knew I would get some good shots with this little family, and I was not disappointed, what good little models they were.  These are the 10 I am going to turn in, thank you Molly for letting me have some fun with you and your sweet boys!

Our Teenager

Well it's official.  We have a teenager to call our own.  Yes,  Zachary turned 13 on May 8th.  It is really hard to believe that he is not a little boy anymore!  For his birthday I took him and two of his friends out to dinner at the California Pizza Kitchen and then when Daddy finally got off work he took the boys to see the Avengers.  It was fun just me and 8 kids out to dinner and Zachary has good friends who are nice to have around.  They even are sweet to my silly little girls who like to bug them.  I wish I remembered my good camera but I didn't, it was a crazy day so all I have are iPhone pics.  Oh well next time.

Splash Park

Maile finally decided to get in, and then sat right back down.

Natalie looks thrilled to be there, no smile the entire time!

Still not smiling...

Becca was very concerned for Natalie, there were too many people there, she didn't want her to get lost.

Oh Lexi, in her own la la land just happy as can be, even if she was freezing!

More Lexi doing her own thing, gotta love her spunk!

Taking a break from watching her sister, such a good protector!

Update

I have been really bad about taking pictures lately.  I need to remember to use my good camera more often, it just isn't the most convenient thing to lug around.  Good thing for my iPhone, at least I have some documentation of what has been going on around here.  Regardless here is what we have been up to.

With only a few weeks left of school for me and just about a month for the girls, everyone is getting pretty lax on homework and I am getting way to lax on my studies.  Somehow I am managing to keep an A percentage but I was much more disciplined at the beginning of the semester.  I am going to really happy to have a break from school over the summer but I will miss coming home to all the unusual sleeping situations.  Daddy is more easygoing on the whole bedtime routine when I am not home.

Natalie is a paci hoarder.  One will not cut it.  Muno and Tuti are must haves also.

This picture I think is so awesome, if they were awake they would be screaming "don't touch me" at each other.

The girls have been begging to go swimming since it got a bit warmer and I just kept putting them off.  I finally gave in and took them swimming.  I am happy I did, Becca jumped in the pool for the first time ever without me holding onto her.  I was very happy.  On the other hand, I am going to have to pay super attention to Natalie at the pool, she is crazy and doesn't want help.  She kept telling me "I do, I do!"

This little stinker used to say cheese for me, now if I am trying to take her picture she acts like I am not there.

Little sun babies.  So tan even on their first swim.  Can't wait for swim lessons so we can ditch those ugly wings.

Anyone else none to happy about the cut on bigger girls swimsuits.  I wish they still fit in toddler sizes they just seem to young to be wearing suits like this.  I didn't realize how much I dislike them till after they wore them.  I think I might have to look into Down East, any luck anywhere else?

Spring Break 2012

For me spring break was going to be a preview of the upcoming summer.  Having my three girls home from school is great...and hard.  In order to keep them out of too much trouble I have to keep them super busy with activities or else everyone goes a little crazy.  A friend of mine put it in a way that I have been trying to explain for a long time.  I adore my girls no doubt about that, however with them being so close in age 6,5,5, it is kinda like a slumber party every night and a play date every day.  They feed off each other and most times chaos ensues.  I couldn't be happier that they have their access to their best friends every day but for my sanity school is a good thing.  Long story short, we did lots of activities to keep busy and we had a lot of fun!

Tuesday was a fun day at the park with some friends but we left early since Natalie was attacking everyone for fruit snacks.  I decided to take the girls to BK for lunch and more playing.  After lunch it was nap time for Natalie and after that we headed to the District for some free Ben and Jerry's Ice cream.  Yum!

Next day my sister and I took the kids to "Las Vegas."  I have never actually taken them on a walk down the good old Las Vegas strip.  It was really fun and they were so good even with all the walking we did.  We started out at the Bellagio Gardens and then headed out to see the water show.  We were 2 hours early so we decided to walk to the M&M factory.  We got some treats, a then it was time to head back so we wouldn't miss the 3pm water show.

The water show was so worth the wait.  It was so pretty, the wind was blowing a cool breeze, the music was playing and everyone was quiet to watch.  Becca whispered to me that "it was so beautiful."  These are the moments I live for with my kids.  Moments that give you the good feelings and I know they were feeling it too.

The next day we were off to Red Rock with friends.  I had anticipated it would be a little breezy but when we got up there it was freezing and so windy.  We decided it would be best to just come back on a day that was nicer so we headed home and just ended up playing at our friends house.  I got to visit and the kids played and played.  It was another really good day!

Saturday we went to Aunt Susan's house to color Easter eggs.

And ended up helping her plant her flower pots too.  Needless to say she had more than enough helpers!

So Spring Break 2012 turned out pretty good. Natalie ended the week with a pretty bad ear infection and I finally understood why so cranky all week (notice paci in almost all her pictures) but that was the only real hiccup.  The girls were very well behaved everywhere we went and I really enjoyed getting more time with them.

Girls Night

I like getting a chance to hang with my girlfriends.  I like hearing live music.  I like all things that are free.  I like Luke Bryan.  A fantastic night for sure!
