First Sunburn of the Season!

Oops, I didn't realize just how warm it was going to be yesterday and after 3 hours at the park I found out. All three of my girls had red faces and arms. I feel bad but we really had fun. Lezlie and I found the coolest park, we could have played all day!! We had a picnic lunch (that was fun with four toddlers) and then just played and played. The swings were really the biggest hit, they were big chairs and the kids loved them!! I want one for my house they were so relaxing! I really am glad the weather is warming up, all winter long we have been cooped up in the house and I was getting pretty board. Also I didn't realize just how adventurous Lexi and Becca really are since they never had too much freedom out side the house. I was impressed at their climbing skills but scared too, Becca wanted to climb on things she is just too small for! She thinks the is bigger than she really is! Anyhow we had a really great day with Lezlie and Leila it makes me happy my kids love their Aunt and cousin soo much. We can't wait to go back to that park it was the best we have been too yet!

In Memory of John

Today was a day for John, it was his day. We remembered John today, John at his best, on the baseball fields before he was taken from us. Today we watched the gray skies part to let in the sun right at the moment when his mother Donna began to talk about her beloved son. We know John was with us, watching us celebrate the life he had and the life that his family must continue to live even in if he is not here. I remember all the fun we had when we were kids, jumping out of the tree to be a part of John and Lezlie's club, playing on the swing set in the back yard, Disneyland, hot springs and San Clemente beach. Sleepovers, Crystal Palace, Greenbriar Pond and swimming. John was the ring leader, Lezlie was the sidekick and Nick and I were lucky to be included. John will always be in my heart and I will always remember the fun we had when we were kids.

Today was not a sad day, it was filled with laughter and fun. After Johns ceremony Nick, announced that he would be getting married right then and there. Nick and Megan were married in front of Johns tree, the most perfect spot. We all had a good time, it was so nice to watch Donna be so happy, it has been a long time coming. I am proud of Nick and the man he has become and I am sure John is looking down from heaven watching his family and being glad that they can experience life in memory of him. We all love you John!

2008 Nationals

This Saturday was ATA 2008 Nationals. Zachary competed in Forms, Weapons and Sparing. He definitely had some tough competition this year but he still place 2nd in forms and 2nd in sparing. It is always fun going out to tournaments, it is fun to see how serious Zachary gets when it is time to compete. This whole month is a big month for Zachary. Next week he will be testing for his black belt, which has been a goal he has been trying to reach for the past three years! We are very proud of all the hard work he puts into his taekwondoe.

Stupid Construction

I hate all the construction going on around our house, first of all no street goes through to my house, I have to pass through five hundred detours and then to top it off I picked up a nail on the way home from lunch. Now I have a flat tire!!!!!!!!!

What a Sweet Day it was!!

Valentines day 2008 can best be summed by saying it was the sweetest day we have had in a long time. The kids awoke to cookies, candies and stuffed animals. We sent Zachary off to school with his load of Valentines and sent Daddy to work with cookies for everyone. Mommy helped Maile, Lexi, and Becca put on their pretty new shirts and off we went. We started our Valentine adventure meeting Grandma, Aunt Lezlie and Leila at Jason's Deli for lunch, it was delish!! Not to mention, we love seeing our family and the girls always have fun with their cousin! Next it was off to deliver cookies to Auntie Anna who was at work. She was so surpriesed to see her nieces! Next she helped Mommy find another present for Daddy at Barns and Noble. So after a long day of running around and eating candy it was early bed for the kiddies. The rest of the night we will keep behind closed doors!!

Playing Catch up!

Hello! The past two and a half years have been the best two and a half years of my life. I met and married the man of my dreams. I became stepmom to Zachary Jr. and gave birth to Maile Angelina on July 25, 2005. I then gave birth to twin girls Alexis Nalani and Rebecca Leahi on September 7, 2006. It has been a whirlwind, but an amazing one. I have experienced so much joy, I can barly contain myself. There have been good times, and harder times but there is always lots and lots of love and laughter to go around. Enjoy my blog, I can't wait to share our life!
