Exhausted, Relieved and Thankful

I just want to let everyone know that Lexi and Becca are on their way to feeling better. Today for the first time they were up and about playing like normal 18mo old babies. Eating is still a tough issue but we are managing. They are asleep in their beds for the first time since last Sunday and for that I am relieved. Maybe we will all get some much needed rest tonight. I can sum this up as one of the hardest weeks of my life. It is so hard as a mom to have to watch your babies be so sick. The worst part was they were so hungry but didn't want to eat anything, it was a good three days and a couple good cries by everyone, me included before they ate anything substantial. So basically we survived this week without a hospital stay which is going against all odds that never seem to be in my favor!

I want to thank my mom for saving me last night. She called up and said she was going to come over and watch the girls so I can get a break. I can't begin to say how much I needed to feel like a normal person. She came into the germ zone and Zach and I got to go out. We started off at the New York New York and rode the roller coaster. That was great!! Wind through my hair, complete kidless freedom felt good! Next we headed to the Olive Garden and shared a great meal together, I even let him sit next to me in the booth. After such a emotionally draining week, some quality time with Zach is exactly what the doctor ordered. (totally cheesy but fitting)

Easter Hangover???

It seems my little twins picked up more than just eggs yesterday and are suffering from the flu. My poor babies havent stopped throwing up since 5 this morning. We made it to the doctor and he told us to just make sure they are drinking even if they throw it right up. I am so tired and I feel so bad for my sweet girls, they are miserable. Hopefully the doctor is right and they start feeling good in about 16 more hours!
******UPDATE****** Today is day four of the girls being sick. They are really suffering at this point. They are hardly eating anything at all and when they do it usually comes up a short time after. We have turned the couch into our big family bed so it is easier to make sure they are ok over the night and it is easier to catch the throw up when they are right next to us. So pretty much we are not gettig any sleep. Maile had been ok for the most part but last night and this morning she started running a temp so she may be sick next. I have to wait to hear from the doctor the results of their cultures. So my job is to wait and make sure they don't get dehydrated. I am feeling pretty stressed out, it is so hard seeing my usualy happy babies so lethargic and sad. We are definatly at a breaking point, I just hope this ends soon.

Easter!!

Well yesterday was a busy day for us. We woke up early and got everybody dressed in their new Easter outfits. Then the girls got to go down stairs and see what the Easter bunny brought, then it was off the breakfast. We met Grandma Liza, Auntie Sam, Auntie Lezlie, Leila, Mary and Sharron and Katelyn at the South Point for Brunch. The food was okay but now I know not to go back there for a buffet! We then headed to the park for an Easter egg hunt. Zachary and the girls had a blast. I was excited to see how into it Lexi and Becca got. They were running for more and more eggs! After the park we went to Grandpa Mike and Grandma Marj's house for a barbeque. The best part was when our two crazy kids ran through the freezing cold water toy! Maile and Zachary were little ice cubes when they were done. All in all we really had a great day. The kids were so good and we got to see our fam!

Adjusting

Hey everyone I have pretty much neglected my blog for about a week so I apologize, things have just been overwheliming here to say the least. We decided since we were moving it might be a good time to transition Lexi and Becca into toddler beds. Well lets just say that has been a nightmare!! Tonight was one of the best nights and it only took 1.5 hours before all were sleeping. This was not without the screaming bloody murder for most of that time. I am exhausted and sick of walking up the stairs and putting them back in their beds. But I must remember tonight was much better than the last four! I can only hope now that they stay asleep!! Other than that we are liking the new place, it is a bit more cozy aka smaller than the old house but I think I like it better for now. I hope everyone is enjoying their spring break!!

Early Morning Scare

So this morning right around 5 am, Zach and I wake up to the sound of our garage door going up! We jumped out of bed and looked out the window, the light in the car was on. We immediately dialed 911, we weren't sure if the perp was in our garage or still in the car. We waited in the house until the cops came and made sure there was nobody in the garage or anywhere around the house. When we looked in our car we realized they took our garage opener. I didn't think they got anything else until the cop asked me for my licence, thats when I realized my purse was in the car. So I lost my COACH purse, wallet, insurance cards, checkbooks, Zachary's DS and all the games. Of course the one day I don't park in the garage this happens. I am however thankful that they only got my things and that nobody got hurt. Now we just have to be more careful.

Things I would do if I were suddenly made a billionaire...Hire a nanny...just kidding!!! But I would hire a maid! Buy a house, give some to my family and friends, it is no fun being the only rich on in the group (I don't know this by experience unfortunatly), get my dream car, get some things lifted and tucked, travel and travel and travel some more!!

One more trip to the hospital

I can easily say that over the past three years I have spent way too much time in local hospitals. The past two day were just one more trip and stay at the hospital. I was really trying to wait for friday morning to take Becca to her regular ped. but after a crazy coughing spell and so much trouble breathing even after several emergency treatments we knew we had to go in. She had all sorts of test run and then was admitted for observation. We got to come home on Friday night and she is doing ok now, not great but better than before. Today hopefully we will both get to catch up on all the sleep we missed out on.

First Sunburn of the Season!

Oops, I didn't realize just how warm it was going to be yesterday and after 3 hours at the park I found out. All three of my girls had red faces and arms. I feel bad but we really had fun. Lezlie and I found the coolest park, we could have played all day!! We had a picnic lunch (that was fun with four toddlers) and then just played and played. The swings were really the biggest hit, they were big chairs and the kids loved them!! I want one for my house they were so relaxing! I really am glad the weather is warming up, all winter long we have been cooped up in the house and I was getting pretty board. Also I didn't realize just how adventurous Lexi and Becca really are since they never had too much freedom out side the house. I was impressed at their climbing skills but scared too, Becca wanted to climb on things she is just too small for! She thinks the is bigger than she really is! Anyhow we had a really great day with Lezlie and Leila it makes me happy my kids love their Aunt and cousin soo much. We can't wait to go back to that park it was the best we have been too yet!

In Memory of John

Today was a day for John, it was his day. We remembered John today, John at his best, on the baseball fields before he was taken from us. Today we watched the gray skies part to let in the sun right at the moment when his mother Donna began to talk about her beloved son. We know John was with us, watching us celebrate the life he had and the life that his family must continue to live even in if he is not here. I remember all the fun we had when we were kids, jumping out of the tree to be a part of John and Lezlie's club, playing on the swing set in the back yard, Disneyland, hot springs and San Clemente beach. Sleepovers, Crystal Palace, Greenbriar Pond and swimming. John was the ring leader, Lezlie was the sidekick and Nick and I were lucky to be included. John will always be in my heart and I will always remember the fun we had when we were kids.

Today was not a sad day, it was filled with laughter and fun. After Johns ceremony Nick, announced that he would be getting married right then and there. Nick and Megan were married in front of Johns tree, the most perfect spot. We all had a good time, it was so nice to watch Donna be so happy, it has been a long time coming. I am proud of Nick and the man he has become and I am sure John is looking down from heaven watching his family and being glad that they can experience life in memory of him. We all love you John!

2008 Nationals

This Saturday was ATA 2008 Nationals. Zachary competed in Forms, Weapons and Sparing. He definitely had some tough competition this year but he still place 2nd in forms and 2nd in sparing. It is always fun going out to tournaments, it is fun to see how serious Zachary gets when it is time to compete. This whole month is a big month for Zachary. Next week he will be testing for his black belt, which has been a goal he has been trying to reach for the past three years! We are very proud of all the hard work he puts into his taekwondoe.

Stupid Construction

I hate all the construction going on around our house, first of all no street goes through to my house, I have to pass through five hundred detours and then to top it off I picked up a nail on the way home from lunch. Now I have a flat tire!!!!!!!!!

What a Sweet Day it was!!

Valentines day 2008 can best be summed by saying it was the sweetest day we have had in a long time. The kids awoke to cookies, candies and stuffed animals. We sent Zachary off to school with his load of Valentines and sent Daddy to work with cookies for everyone. Mommy helped Maile, Lexi, and Becca put on their pretty new shirts and off we went. We started our Valentine adventure meeting Grandma, Aunt Lezlie and Leila at Jason's Deli for lunch, it was delish!! Not to mention, we love seeing our family and the girls always have fun with their cousin! Next it was off to deliver cookies to Auntie Anna who was at work. She was so surpriesed to see her nieces! Next she helped Mommy find another present for Daddy at Barns and Noble. So after a long day of running around and eating candy it was early bed for the kiddies. The rest of the night we will keep behind closed doors!!

Playing Catch up!

Hello! The past two and a half years have been the best two and a half years of my life. I met and married the man of my dreams. I became stepmom to Zachary Jr. and gave birth to Maile Angelina on July 25, 2005. I then gave birth to twin girls Alexis Nalani and Rebecca Leahi on September 7, 2006. It has been a whirlwind, but an amazing one. I have experienced so much joy, I can barly contain myself. There have been good times, and harder times but there is always lots and lots of love and laughter to go around. Enjoy my blog, I can't wait to share our life!
