This week is spring break and it has been somewhat of a drag for us. Sickness kept us from doing much but everyone was feeling good yesterday so we decided to get some fresh air. The weather in Red Rock was perfect, just enough of a breeze to keep us cool. We started our day climbing the big sandstone rock which can be a little tricky with a 4 year old and then we headed over to the children's discovery trail which was much easier for Natalie. After hiking, we stopped at Bonnie Springs to ride the train, check out the old town and go to the petting zoo (gross). It was a perfect day and just what we needed after a week trapped indoors.

Color Vibe Run
"Best Day Ever!!" We have had many best days ever over the past few years and as a Mom it always nice to hear that from the mouth of my kids. It means the preparation and planning involved to make certain days happen are worth it. This particular day was one of them. The girls were working hard on their running so we decided we would sign up for a race. Our friends decided to join us. Even though it was almost impossible with the crowd to run this race we still managed to run a little, walk a lot and have tons of fun!!! Seriously best day ever...for now.
January, Feburay, March...
January, February and March have flown by. I really can't believe April and the end of the semester is almost here. After winter break school started back up and that meant Level III nursing school for me. Yikes. By far the busiest semester yet. I am so thankful work has been pretty slow for Zach this winter and he took over so many household and kid duties for me. Even being so busy with school, I made a new years resolution to get more active. Very original I know. I started running and having the girls come running with me to on occasion to try to get everybody moving. I never enjoyed running unless a ball was involved but it has grown on me the past three months and has really helped alleviate some of the stress of school and family responsibilities. I am really looking forward to May when I will run my first 1/2 marathon. Anyhow...here are some pics of what our last three months looked like starting with...
