Big Girl Cups

So I just recently decided to let the girls drink at the table with big girl cups. This was actually a decision prompted by the goodie bags they got from Josie's party. There were big girl cups in them and the girls wanted to use them. They actually did pretty good, no spills but we will have to work on putting food and forks into the cup!

Grab the Camera!

Zach thinks I never take pictures of him and his kiddo's so when they all sat next to him he wanted me to snap away. Here is Daddy with his girls and boy! This is the usual when Daddy gets home from work; everyone trying to crowd around to talk about their day and get their fair share of kisses and hugs! It really is cute and since he has to work hard all day, I am happy he gets to feel so special when he comes home!

Bonnie Springs and Josie's Birthday!

Monday morning we headed out to Bonnie Springs with Jasmine and family to celebrate Josie's second birthday. I will have to say that Josie is such a brave little two year old! My kids were scared of the train, scared of the animals but Josie loved it all! After Bonnie Springs we went home and took a nap. Later that evening we went to Josie's Grandmas house for a BBQ Party. Josie looked so darn cute in her party dress and the Lexi, Maile and Becca had fun playing with their friend! I enjoyed spending time with my friends too and Mare if you are reading this I hope you are ok! Overall it was such a busy day that Maile took a four hour nap the next day!

Rain Rain Go Away!

Well last Friday we were supposed to have a swimming BBQ with our friends the DelPrete's and of course it was a fabulous 57 degrees outside and raining. We still had fun playing inside and watching old home movies from when we were little kids. It is fun looking back at all the things we did together when we were kids. The food was great and we are looking forward to going back to swim next time!

My Special Day!

Happy Mothers Day to all the wonderful mom's I know! Today was a pretty great day. First we were off to breakfast with my Mom and Lezlie. It was crazy at I hop but we survied! After breakfast we came home and put the girls down for a nap. Zach was sleepy too, so I let him sleep and took off to have some much needed alone time. I got to go shopping by myself and got to get a manicure and pedicure. When I got home I asked Zach to do some things around the house that we keep putting off, like hang curtains and pictures. Let me just say my husband made my day special. He got the kids ready this morning before breakfast. He ironed curtians (what guy does that?) We had Outback Dinner outside (nice even though our back yard is dirt) with ice cream desert. Today was a good day. Zach didn't even get mad that I left my new nail polish in my purse for Maile to give herself and the carpet a manicure, he just cleaned it up! I even got an extra long back scratch while we were watching our shows tonight and the best thing, he stayed awake! I love being a Mommy and I love how special I get to feel on this day!

Ride um Cowboy!

This year for Zachary's birthday we went horse back riding at the Sage Brush Ranch in Hidden Valley. It was Zach, me, Zachary and three of his ATA buddies, Ashlyn, Justin and Turner. The Sage Brush Ranch that was featured online was slightly different than the one we pulled up to (the real one kinda getto) but it worked out in the end because they really let us have some freedom on the horses. It was really quite and experience, they mounted us on the horses gave us a two minute crash course on how to control a horse and we were off! I was a little concerned on how the kids would do but they were naturals! (I must point out though I should have never thrown Zach's hideous cowboy boots away because he must have been a COWBOY in another life!) We followed a trail that took us up some pretty steep hills and we got to gallop with our horses. I was so proud of Zachary and all the kids really, I was nervous having never gone faster than a slow walk on a horse to a full on gallop but they were not scared at all! A little over half way through we had a barbeque lunch and then finished off the rest of the ride. We then let the kids hike a bit and we stoped and they launched some fireworks on the indian reservation before we headed home. At the house all the family came over for some pizza, cake and ice cream. Zachary really had a great day and he named this the best birthday party he ever had!!

Cousin Pics!

Well tonight Lezlie and I took the kids to get their pictures done for Grandma. Lets just say it was pretty interesting. Lexi and Becca are not one bit amused by whistles, hoots, or fuzzy dusters in their face. Leila tried to dive off the table (good catch Auntie Lauren) and I ended up giving the girls gum so I could get them to sit for their last picture. Zachary, Jacob and Leila were definatly the best picture takers but even with only half decent participation we ended up with some pretty cute pictures! If you hit the link below you can view the unedited pictures. This is a risky post, I know my mom has seen my blog before but I don't think she checks it very often if at all. So Mom, if you are reading this I am sorry that I spoiled your mothers day present. Act surpried so Lezlie does not get mad!

Our Turn

Unfortunatly pink eye has been going around lately and we are the latest casualty. The girls all have a really mild version of it and they don't even need medication but my poor hubby has it so bad! Hopefully his eyes feel better soon, it just looks so painful!
