Considering there are only 17 day left of the 2015-2016 school year I would say this post is a little late however the first day of school for Natalie is a day that I don't want to forget. My last baby started all day kindergarten. There will be no more very first days of school ever for our family. As I type this I have had an entire year to become ok with that realization and the girls have all had a great year.
Between the four of them they participated in a majority of the clubs and sports the school offers.
-Lexi played volleyball, was on the cheer team for the third year, was in choir, was a peer mediator, participated in the Battle of the Books and is playing soccer. Not to mention she started a tumbling class outside of school. Lexi is our over achiever/social butterfly.
-Maile was in choir, the special group choir and also participated in the Battle of the books where her team took the tittle for Cactus Campus and moved on to battle in the Clark county school district games. They took 7th but did great!
-Rebecca was busy as well singing in the choir, dancing, playing soccer and she also participated in Battle of the Books.
-There are not many options for Kinder kids at Doral but Natalie was in the Story time club and is doing gymnastics outside of school.
It was a busy and full year getting everyone where they needed to go but I know my girls had fun. Next year we may put a limit on the number of obligations just due to the logistics of getting everyone where they need to be. That has been the biggest challenge for us since I started working. It is not a stretch to say that I am looking forward to the summer and calm that comes with no school.
Natalie's first day was very similar to Maile's. Super excited all the way up until we are at the door and then the nerves kicked in. Unlike Maile though, Natalie recovered pretty quick and had no issue after the first day whereas I had to drag Maile in kicking and screaming for a few weeks. :)
Alexis was one of 5 kids selected to represent Doral Academy at a charter school board meeting. They did a cute little skit in front of the board. It was a pretty big honor for Lexi to participate and she did awesome!
Lexi turned out to be a pretty good little volleyball player. Hopefully she sticks with it!
After school activities means getting out when the sun is setting.
Natalie receiving her citizenship award. According to her teacher she is extremely well behaved in school and a big help to other students.
Two peas in a pod these two. Kegan is always looking out for Natalie. I love they are in the same class and I hope next year they are as well.
I got to chaperone Natalie's field trip which was an exciting trip to see the Cat in the Hat at the Smith Center.
100 Days of Kindergarten for Natalie.
These two are fun to watch on the soccer field. They have improved so much from the first game, I cannot wait to see if they want to keep playing. (fingers crossed, my dream is to have one of my girls love soccer as much as I do)
Maile's Battle of the Books team and coach. They did great!!
Family Picnic Day at Doral
Of course another running fundraiser.
Last but not least Maile's last citizenship award as an elementary student. Yikes!
